Saudi Arabia's First Interactive Robot Welcomes LEAP23 Attendees

Saudi Arabia's first robot who can communicate in the local dialect, Sara, has been welcoming attendees at the LEAP Conference 2023 in Riyadh, state news agency SPA reported Tuesday, February 8th.

Sara, one of the features at this year's LEAP, was manufactured in cooperation between Saudi Digital and Qss Company. 

The robot contains a built-in camera that works with artificial intelligence (AI). She will start a conversation when a visitor welcomes her with the phrase "Hello Sara."

She contains a pre-trained model that recognizes different dialects from within Saudi Arabia. 

LEAP 2023 is the second edition of the international and multi-award-winning technology festival that brings together more than 100,000 tech innovators and experts from all over the world to share their insights, experiences, and vision for the future

The four-day conference, which is being held at the Riyadh Front Expo Center from February 6th to February 9th, focuses each day on one pillar of innovation: spark, collaboration, momentum, and future.
