Riyadh Int'l Book Fair Displays 98-Year-Old Kaaba Curtain

History enthusiasts will be happy to know that there are various cool rare artefacts on display at the Riyadh International Book Fair, which includes an embroidered Kaaba curtain from the time of King Abdulaziz.

The Kaaba curtain dates back 98 years and bears the phrase 'The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al Saud'.

Another interesting artefact that is on display is a text by Bin Kathir, which is the most renowned and widely used explanation of the Quran.

The book fair also features various candlesticks and lanterns from the Prophet's Mosque.

Other artefacts included older manuscripts of the Quran and various documents from the fields of jurisprudence, monotheism, geography, mathematics and the Arabic language.

The documents include a manuscript from the Sunnah of Abu Dawud that dates back a thousand years.

The book fair also has on display the book ‘Mention Distances and Pictures of Regions’ by Ahmed bin Sahl Al-Balkhi, which is a thousand years old.

A 16th-century Torah scroll is also on display at the book fair.
