Saudi Launches First-Ever Self-Driving Aerial Taxi For Hajj

Saudi Arabia has launched an innovative self-driving aerial taxi service for this year's Hajj season, revolutionizing how pilgrims move around the holy sites. These electric flying taxis will not only transport pilgrims but also facilitate rapid medical transfers and efficient goods delivery.

World’s First Licensed Aerial Taxi

Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, announced that this aerial taxi is the first in the world to be officially licensed by a civil aviation authority. The launch event featured a vertical takeoff demonstration of the autonomous vehicle, attended by notable figures including Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, president of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), and Rumaih Al-Rumaih, Deputy Minister of Transport and Logistics Services.
