19 July is the First Day of Hijri Year 1445

The final day of the month of Dhul Hijjah, 1444 Hijri, or July 18th, 2023, will fall on Tuesday, according to the Saudi Supreme Court.

The first day of Muharram, 1445 Hijri, or July 19, 2023, will fall on Wednesday, according to the Umm Al Qura calendar.

As the start of a new lunar calendar year, the Islamic New Year, also known as the Hijri New Year, is a significant event for Muslims. 

The Hijri name refers to the Hijra or the migration of the Prophet Muhammad and his followers who traveled from Makkah to Madinah in 622 A.D.

The twelve months of the Islamic lunar calendar are Muharram, Dhul Hijjah, and so on. The new moon is visible at the beginning of every month.
