Are There Any Public Holidays Left for Saudi Residents in 2023?

Employees in Saudi Arabia will receive one more public holiday in 2023, according to the country's official announcement of its holidays.

On the eve of Eid Al Adha 2023, the residents of Saudi Arabia took their longest holiday. The first long holiday of the year was observed in April in celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

On September 23rd, in honor of Saudi National Day, all residents of Saudi Arabia will enjoy a public holiday. The Saudi National Day holiday this year falls on a Saturday.

The National Day honors the uniting of several Bedouin tribes, sultanates, small kingdoms, and emirates throughout a vast region of the Arabian Peninsula, extending from the Red Sea to the Persian Gulf.

Under the leadership of Abdul Al-Aziz ibn Saud, Saudi Arabia's founding father, the country was eventually united in 1932. He then went on to inherit the throne as the Kingdom's first king and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
