The festival is being hosted to showcase the local production of almonds in Taif and it will run for four days.

The event is being hosted near the Eid prayer hall and helps farmers in marketing their goods.

Figs and pears are also being sold at the festival, if visitors are looking for fresh fruits.

The agricultural ministry in Makkah is hosting the festival in collaboration with 30 local farmers from Maysan and Taif to develop a sustainable agricultural industry locally.

Plans are being developed by the ministry to help local farmers multiply their production and sell their produce in various locations.

Aramco has signed an agreement with the Makkah Region Development Authority and the Haddad Bani Malik Multipurpose Cooperative Society to support small projects such as production of almonds in Maysan.
