The metro travels 18 kilometers and the railway line has nine stations, which include three each at Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifa. The last station on the line is located near Jamarat Bridge.

A metro on this line travels at 80 kilometers per hour and takes only 20 minutes to travel from Mina to Arafat.

Al Mashaaer Metro Line has 17 trains that cater to the Holy Sites and 3,000 passengers can be transported per train.

The trains can carry 72,000 passengers per hour because the seating capacity is 20 percent of the total number of passengers.

In 2022, the metro line transported 1.35 million passengers in 2,228 trips. Al Mashaaer Metro Line has won the Franz Edelman Award for the best applied and operational research, which is evidence of its impeccable services to pilgrims during the Hajj season.
