Makkah municipality has hired 22,000 workers to cover all fields and provided them with all the machinery needed in order to boost pilgrim services ahead of Hajj.

Spokesperson Osama Zaituni said that the municipality's human and mechanical capacities are supported by assistance teams including public security and scouts, and temporary health monitors.

Zaituni added that the municipality had prepared its 13 sub-municipalities and three subsidiary municipalities, as well as 28 centers in Makkah, which are distributed to cover the entire area of the holy sites.

On Saturday, the first group of Hajj pilgrims from Nigeria landed at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

Meanwhile, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah received another flight carrying Hajj pilgrims from Iran.

The Saudi General Directorate of Passports has expressed its preparedness to manage procedures for pilgrims during the Hajj season at airports, land borders and seaports.

It has also reiterated its adherence to facilitate the entry process for pilgrims through the implementation of cutting-edge devices at ports to streamline operations.
