Madinah's Municipality hired more than 9,900 employees and they are given more than 800 pieces of equipment to monitor and improve the quality and safety of food.

The task of quality control for food will be carried out by employees monitoring markets, cafes, restaurants, catering kitchens, and commercial centres.

The municipality has also arranged for the surveillance of gas stations and service centres on highways as well as barbershops, beauty salons, and street vendors to ensure proper hygiene maintenance.

This operational plan is supposed to focus on Madinah's city centre, historical Islamic sites, markets, mosques and their surrounding areas, and residential neighborhoods.
