Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfiq Al-Rabiah announced that the ministry is set to connect electronic payment methods for pilgrims with the systems in place in the Kingdom soon.

The move will coincide with the increase in the number of pilgrims over the coming years, he said.

“Many countries have special electronic systems. However, when their pilgrims come to the Kingdom, they cannot use the systems that they have, and they cannot use our systems too,” Al-Rabiah pointed.

Al-Rabiah added that in order to provide the pilgrims with the best services ever, the ministry encourages the innovative ideas put up by young people.

“We are working to encourage them, praising the role of the private sector as a major partner in providing distinguished services and better facilities for the pilgrims,” the minister said.
