Microsoft Corp said today, January 25th, it is investigating an outage affecting hundreds of users in UAE and thousands worldwide after the issue started at around 10:50 a.m. (Dubai time).

"We've identified a potential networking issue and are reviewing telemetry to determine the next troubleshooting steps," the company said an hour after the reported outage.
Over 500 incidents were reported in UAE, where users have been unable to access Microsoft services for over an hour, including Teams, OneDrive, and Outlook, data from the outage tracking website Downdetector showed.
Downdetector showed over 3,900 incidents in India and more than 900 in Japan.
During the outage, people were unable to exchange messages, join calls or use any features of Teams application, which is used by more than 280 million people globally.
Downdetector tracks interruption of services by collating status reports from submitted errors on its platform in addition to other sources.
