The 26-year-old moved from Atlanta to Roma on a permanent basis in 2021, but the clubs did not disclose the transfer fee.
For the club Jose Mourinho last season, Ibanez scored three goals in 48 games. Al Ahli posted a message on the social media app 'X', "Welcome to Al Ahli, Roger!”
Ibanez joins Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, Alain Saint-Maximin, and Franck Kessie as the most recent additions to Al Ahli, who made their way back to the Professional league after spending a season in the Second Division.
Al Ittihad, Al Ahli, Al Nassr, and Al Hilal, the league champions, will be a part of the Sports Clubs Investment and Privatization Project, according to the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF).
