On Ireland’s West Coast, is the quaint sea-side city of Galway, only a 2.5 hour drive from Dublin and also accessible via train or bus. Located on Ireland’s rugged Atlantic Coast, also known as the ‘Wild Atlantic Way’, Galway offers visitors a chance to explore untouched beaches, dramatic coastline and the kick-back from one of the many cosy pubs, against the upbeat soundtrack of traditional live-music.

Day 1 & 2 Dublin

Day 3 & 4 – Galway

Aniar also offers a Cookery School offering both a six-week or a one-day cooking course. Foodies will also delight in colourful market stalls and a thriving pub culture.

Affectionately known as the cultural heart of Ireland – and crowned joint European capital of culture in 2020 – Galway is the beating heart of Irish art, music and literature. Cúirt International Festival of Literature takes place from April 18–23, 2023, bringing together world-renowned authors, thinkers, and passionate readers. The festival is one of Europe’s oldest book festivals, and a leading voice for literature both internationally and across Ireland.

History lovers can travel through time at the Galway City Museum, where fascinating exhibitions and collections offer a window to the past from the prehistoric age to the modern day.

Small in size but big in its welcome, Galway is the perfect place to saunter and discover labyrinthine bookshops while rubbing shoulders with locals at the weekend market.

Day 3 & 4

Travelers to Ireland also have the option of including a visit to Northern Ireland’s capital, Belfast, a cosmopolitan port-city, teeming with culture, luxury dining concepts and hotels.

Visitors can choose to stay in the sophisticated hotel, The Harrison or take a short drive out of the city and spend a night in Galgorm Resort, classic-meets-modern country house retreat featuring classic Victorian manor house rooms, estate cottages and luxe shepherd’s huts. Game of Thrones fans can catch a glimpse of the filming locations of their favourite show with a dedicated day-tour, departing from just outside the city of Belfast. The ever prevalent Kingsroad awaits, whereby visitors can follow in the footsteps of their favourite characters and drink in the impressive sight of county Antrim’s Dark Hedges.
