Saudi Arabia Announces Eid Al Fitr Holiday for Public and Private Sectors

If you’re working in the Kingdom, here’s the good news. Saudi Arabia has officially announced the Eid Al Fitr 2026 holiday dates — and yes, it’s a four-day break.

The holiday will begin on Wednesday, March 18, which marks 29 Ramadan 1447 AH, and will run until Saturday, March 21. Work resumes on Sunday, March 22.

Crescent Sighting Still Decides Eid Day

As always, the exact day of Eid Al Fitr depends on the moon sighting. So while the break is locked in, the official confirmation of Eid will follow the traditional crescent announcement.

Still, the dates above are what employees across both government and private sectors can expect for now.

If you’re planning travel, family time, or just some well-deserved rest — now’s the time to lock in those plans.
