Al Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo cut a frustrated figure during the first half of his side's AFC Champions League play-off clash against Dubai Club Shabab Al Ahli.

Cristiano Ronaldo was visibly frustrated during the first half of Al Nassr's AFC Champions League play-off clash against Shabab Al Ahli.

Despite the Portuguese striker's repeated requests for penalties, his appeals were disregarded by the match officials who signaled for him to stand up and resume play.

Even though Al Nassr came back from behind to defeat the UAE-based side, their captain struggled to find his rhythm for most of the match

Al Nassr and Shabab Al Ahli's AFC Champions League play-off clash on Tuesday night got off to a good start for the former, with Anderson Talisca scoring in the 11th minute. However, just two minutes earlier, Ronaldo had a penalty shout turned down by the referee after he was brought down by two of the Shabab Al Ahli defenders.

In the stoppage time of the first half, Ronaldo dribbled past two defenders and entered the six-yard box. However, he was brought down by a hard tackle from the third defender. Ronaldo appealed for a penalty, but the referee waved play on.

Ronaldo was very frustrated with the referee's decisions at the end of the first half. He was reportedly heard shouting "Wake up" as the referee blew the whistle for halftime.
