Ronaldo: Saudi Pro League Could Be Among Top Five Leagues in the World

Cristiano Ronaldo is hopeful that the Saudi Pro League, which he recently joined, would eventually rank among the top five leagues in the world.

The Portuguese player's deal with Al Nassr, according to certain media sources, is worth more than €200 million. He joined the club in January.

Tuesday's goal by Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo earned Al Nassr its most recent victory. He said, "The Saudi League is getting better, next year we will be even better. Step by step I think this league will be in the top five leagues in the world. But they need time, they need players and infrastructure. I believe that this country has amazing potential, amazing people and the league will be great."

Ronaldo has scored 14 goals in 18 matches. In a 3-2 comeback victory over Al-Shabab, his most recent goal maintained Al-Nassr in the running for the Saudi championship.
