King Salman Sends Best Wishes to Muslims on Occasion of Ramadan

Saudi Arabia's King Salman expressed his best wishes to Saudi citizens and Muslims everywhere in the world on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques also hoped that Ramadan will bring hope and peace to Muslims and the entire world.

King Salman, who chaired the Cabinet session at Irqah Palace on Tuesday, directed authorities concerned with serving visitors of the Two Holy Mosques to continue to work with the highest efficiency to ensure that pilgrims perform their rituals with ease.

In Saudi Arabia, the holy month of Ramadan will begin on Thursday, March 23rd as the crescent moon, which marks the beginning of a month in the Islamic Hijri calendar, was not seen on Tuesday night.

This year's holy month of Ramadan will have a period of 29 days according to astronomical predictions. Eid Al Fitr is predicted to fall on Friday, April 21st, yet the date is subject to change on the basis of moon sightings.
