2.5 Million Pray at Makkah's Grand Mosque on 27th Ramadan

In a remarkable display of faith and devotion, Masjid Al Haram in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, welcomed an astounding 2.5 million worshipers from around the globe on the 27th night of Ramadan 1445. This momentous occasion took place ahead of Taraweeh Prayers, marking a significant milestone in the Islamic calendar.

The 27th night of Ramadan holds immense significance, revered as Laylat Al Qadr or the Night of Power. It is regarded as the holiest night of the Islamic calendar, with Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) indicating its occurrence within the last 10 nights of Ramadan, particularly on an odd-numbered night. This auspicious night is believed to be when the first verses of the holy Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), symbolizing divine revelation and blessings.

From the early hours of Friday morning, the streets leading to Masjid Al Haram were bustling with worshipers, converging towards the sacred site to partake in the special prayers. The atmosphere was charged with spirituality and reverence as worshipers congregated to perform Isha, Taraweeh, and Qiyamul Layl prayers within the mosque's hallowed precincts.
