Saudi Arabia's Naval Base Received the Largest Evacuation From Sudan

Saudi Arabia's King Faisal Naval Base in Jeddah received the largest number of evacuees from Sudan on Wednesday, which was a total of 1687 evacuees and included its own citizens and nationals from 58 countries. 

The ship transported these evacuees from Port Sudan on the east coast of Sudan to the naval base in Saudi Arabia. The evacuees were from the UK, France, the US, Türkiye, Germany, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and many other countries. 

The Saudi-flagged ship named 'Amana' docked at the naval base at 5 a.m. Saudi Arabia time. The evacuees were welcomed by base officials and diplomatic authorities from different nationalities. 

Wednesday's operation increased the total number of evacuees evacuated by Saudi Arabia from Sudan to a total of 2148, including 114 Saudi citizens and 2034 citizens from 62 other nationalities.
