Saudi Arabia's Masrahi Wins Historic 400m Gold at Asian Games

Saudi Arabia's Yousef Masrahi won the first gold medal for his country at the 19th Asian Games in China by winning the men's 400m race with a time of 45.55 seconds. He beat Bahrain's Youssef Al-Abbas and Japan's Kantaro Sato, who finished second and third, respectively.

Masrahi's gold medal victory is a historic moment for Saudi Arabia, as it is the country's first gold medal at the Asian Games since 2014. His win also marks Saudi Arabia's return to the podium at the Asian Games, after a nine-year drought.

Masrahi had to wait anxiously for the official results to be confirmed, but when they were, he erupted in joy and sprinted towards the stands to celebrate with his fans. He had just beaten his Japanese competitor by a narrow margin, but it was enough to secure him the gold medal.

Masrahi expressed his gratitude to all Saudis for their support, and thanked Allah for his success. He also paid special tribute to his mother and coach, Capt. Hamdan Al-Bishi.
