Saudi Foreign Ministry Introduces E-Visa Waiver for UK Citizens

The Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) scheme for United Kingdom citizens was introduced by Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.

The ruling permits people of the UK to visit the country for travel, business, study, or medical treatment and remain for up to 6 months on a single entry.

The ministry stated on its social media that the move is intended to simplify the application process for anyone who wants to travel to the Kingdom.

Applying for a visa can be done via visa.mofa.gov.sa, the ministry's visa application website. They have up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure date to send the waiver requests.

After recipients submit their requests, approvals will be issued to their email addresses within 24 hours.

Last year, Saudi nationals had access to the electronic visa waiver scheme of the United Kingdom.
