Date exports from Saudi Arabia reached more than SR566 million in the first quarter of 2023, up 2.5% from the same period in the previous year, according to a report released on Friday.

The National Center for Palms and Dates published an official report that said that the ratio of stored to fresh dates was 77% and that industrialized dates made up 23% of all exports.

Dates were exported to 111 nations around the world, with China leading the way with an increase in exports of 150% worth SR 7,654,212, followed by Austria at 60% worth SR 1,996,000, Belgium at 23% worth SR 1,232,592, Turkey at 30% worth SR 22,303,831 and Canada at 40% worth SR 3,993,901.
