Real Madrid of Spain ran out 5-3 winners over Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia in the FIFA Club World Cup Final, claiming the title for a record fifth time on Saturday, February 11th.

Madrid took control of the match in the early stages with Vinicius Junior netting the opener after 13 minutes and Fede Valverde after 18 minutes.
During the match, Vinicius Junior and Valverde struck twice each, while Karim Benzema also scored a goal, after he had missed the semi-final win over Al Ahly of Egypt with a thigh injury.
For Al Hilal side, Moussa Marega scored after 26 minutes, while Luciano Vietto rifled two goals for the team; one after 63 minutes and the other after 79 minutes.
This was the first time a team from the Middle East had reached the final of the competition.
The annual competition, which kicked off on February 1st with a match between Al Ahly and New Zealand outfit Auckland City, was held in Morocco this year.
The tournament brings together the champions from each football federation to find the best club in the world.
