Saudi Arabia has presented its innovative plans and aspirations to host Expo 2030, a six-month, global World Expo.

Planned to be hosted under the theme "Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow," the theme has three main pillars: a different tomorrow, climate action, and prosperity for all. 

The Gulf country is bidding to host Expo 2030 in Riyadh as part of Vision 2030. The bid plans to host the massive event from October 1st, 2030 until March 31st, 2031.

Adel Al Jubeir, Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Envoy for Climate said: "Our desire to host it in Saudi Arabia in 2030 lines with the target date for the implementation of our Vision 2030. It’s an important year for us. We want the world to see Saudi Arabia and we want Saudi Arabia to see the world. We are devoting tremendous resources to it."

The decision now resting in the hands of the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE). The official vote deciding the host city is set to happen in November 2023.
