Saudi Arabia has condemned the burning of a copy of the Quran by an extremist in Malmö, Sweden, and other similar acts that have taken place in other European capitals.

In a statement, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said that these acts are "blatant" and that they are "systematically repeated" under the pretext of freedom of expression.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged the Swedish government to take immediate action to stop the extremist group from burning the Quran and to prevent future occurrences. The ministry also emphasized that these practices contribute to spreading hatred and racism.
