Umrah pilgrims can take advantage of several benefits during their stay in Saudi Arabia, including a maximum health insurance coverage amounting to SR100,000.

The SR100,000 in health insurance can be utilized by pilgrims in the event of their hospitalization or medical evacuation within Saudi Arabia or abroad, Saudi newspapers Okaz and Saudi Gazette reported.

The Umrah pilgrims’ health insurance policy, recently approved by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom, outlined 11 health insurance benefits.

The pilgrims’ health benefits include daily accommodation in hospital and subsistence of the patient, travel expenses for a first-degree relative of the patient, dental treatments, and expenses for dialysis in emergency cases.

There is also specific emphasis in the policy on pregnancy, childbirth, and neonatal care.
