Here's What You Need to Know About the Saudi Cup 2023

The world's most lucrative horse race, the Saudi Cup 2023, will take place at King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh for the fourth time on Friday, February 24, and Saturday, February 25, 2023.

The Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia organizes the elite horseracing competition, which has drawn more than 1,400 participants from 22 nations. The Saudi Cup is one of the top events taking place in the kingdom in 2023.

What are the events scheduled for Saudi Cup 2023?

Five Group 3 races, the $20 million Group 1 Saudi Cup (1,800 meters), a revised edition of the Group 1 Obaiya Arabian Classic, and the Group 2 Al Mneefah Cup for Purebred Arabians will all be on the Saudi Cup 2023 schedule (2,100 meters).

There will also be a $500,000 Saudi International Handicap and an International Jockeys Challenge. Nine top-notch races on turf and dirt are also available for viewing.

The Saudi Cup, the most prestigious horseracing competition in the world with a total prize pool of $20 million paid up to the tenth-place athlete, is run on a weekend card worth $35.35 million due to the inclusion of the Tuwaiq Cup, an 1800-meter dirt race with a prize of $500,000.
