Riyadh Gears Up for Thrilling 2024 Italian Super Cup on This Date

Football enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The much-anticipated Italian Super Cup (Supercoppa Italiana) is set to captivate Riyadh from January 18th to 22nd, 2024, at the Al-Awwal Park Stadium. Following the success of the Spanish Super Cup 2024 in the capital, this event promises an electrifying display of talent and competition.

Featuring a knockout format, the tournament will showcase four top-tier teams representing the winners and runners-up of both the league and the Italian Cup (Coppa Italia). The lineup includes Inter Milan (Coppa Italia winners), Napoli (Italian champions), Lazio (runners-up), and Fiorentina (Coppa Italia finalists).

The action kicks off with a face-off between Napoli and Fiorentina on Thursday, January 18th, followed by the clash between Inter Milan and Lazio on Friday, January 19th. Both matches commence at 10 pm local time.

The victorious teams from these thrilling encounters will advance to the final, slated for Monday, January 22nd.

This marks Saudi Arabia's fourth time hosting the Italian Super Cup. The inaugural edition on January 16th, 2019, at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah saw Juventus triumph over AC Milan. Lazio secured victory in the second edition held in Riyadh on December 22nd, 2019, defeating Juventus. The third edition, hosted in Riyadh on January 18th, 2023, witnessed Inter Milan dominating AC Milan at the King Fahad International Stadium.
