Saudi Arabia Close to Winning Bid for World Cup 2034

Football fans in Saudi Arabia will be happy to know that the Kingdom is close to winning the bid for the FIFA World Cup 2034 after its potential rival Australia withdrew from the bid.

Saudi Arabia put in its bid for the World Cup this month after FIFA revealed its search for bidders from Asia and Oceania.

If Saudi Arabia wins this bid, it will become the second Gulf country to host the FIFA World Cup after Qatar hosted the World Cup in 2022.

Saudi Arabia's bid has been backed by Türkiye, Thailand, Cuba, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, and other countries.

The Kingdom already has plans to build several new stadiums as it will be hosting the AFC Asian Cup 2027 as well.
