Roberto Mancini Named as Saudi Arabia Football Coach

The Italian football legend Roberto Mancini has been named as the next head coach of the Saudi national side, according to the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF).

The decision was made as the Saudi team was getting ready to compete in the eagerly awaited AFC Asian Cup 2023, which will be held in Qatar.

The SAFF did not provide any other information, but Italian media claimed Mancini would go for Riyadh on Monday to attend a presentation event and sign a deal through 2027 worth €25 million net year.

“I made history in Europe, now is time to make history with Saudi,” Mancini said in a video posted on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
