All You Need to Know to Participate in the Sharjah Theatre Festival

The Saudi Theater and Performing Arts Commission has begun receiving applications for nominations to participate in the fourth session of the Sharjah GCC Theater Festival, which will be held in the Emirate of Sharjah in February next year 2023.

Sharjah GCC Theatre Festival Conditions

The Commission revealed that those wishing to participate in the Festival must observe several conditions, the most important of which is that the theatrical text or vision has not been produced before and that the text is written in a distinct theatrical language, and that the number of participants in the theatrical performance does not exceed 20 individuals, in addition to the need to attach a detailed idea about the play, the theatrical text, and the directorial vision, as well as a description of the venue, and scene design, in the candidacy applications for participation.

Sharjah GCC Theatre Festival Application Deadline

The Commission confirmed that the period for receiving applications extends from October 25 to November 15, followed by the screening and evaluation stage during the period from November 18-26, and finally the accreditation stage, which will be in the period from November 27-30.

The Sharjah Festival Theater was launched in 2015 to be organized every two years in February in the Emirate of Sharjah over a period of 7 days.
