What Is Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah?
Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah is the sacred space inside the Prophet’s Mosque, located between the home of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) — now his noble chamber — and his minbar (pulpit).
It’s about 330 square metres, not huge, but spiritually massive. It’s described as “a garden from the gardens of Paradise,” which is why millions aim to pray there every year.
Visiting Hours: First 20 Days of Ramadan
For the first 20 days, here’s how access is split:
Men:
-
11:20am to 8:00pm
-
2:00am to 5:00am
Women:
-
11:00pm to 1:40am
-
6:00am to 11:00am
Yes, that includes some very late-night and early-morning slots — peak Ramadan energy.
Visiting Hours: Last 10 Days of Ramadan
During the final stretch of Ramadan, timings change slightly.
Men:
-
11:20am to 8:00pm
-
11:00pm to 12:00am
-
2:00am to 5:00am
Women:
-
6:00am to 11:00am
The last 10 nights are especially significant in Ramadan, so expect higher demand.
Booking Is Mandatory
Walk-ins won’t work. All visits must be booked in advance through the Nusuk app. The goal is to keep things smooth, organised and calm for worshippers.
If you’re heading to Madinah this Ramadan, plan ahead, set those alarms, and lock in your slot early.
