Digital Citizenship to Be Part of Secondary School Curriculum

Beginning with the following academic year, the third-year secondary school students' curriculum will include lessons on digital citizenship, designing marketing campaigns, and event management.

From reliable sources, Okaz/Saudi Gazette has learned that the Ministry of Education has authorized teaching these courses to secondary school pupils in both public and specialized tracks.

The decision is in line with keeping with the ministry's strategy to enhance educational outcomes in order to prepare school graduates for difficult jobs on the local labour market, following a thorough examination of the academic curricula.

The ministry has finished putting together high-quality, specialised courses in subjects including earth and space sciences, artificial intelligence, software engineering, cybersecurity, healthcare, body systems, and legal principles, according to the sources.

These curricula would keep pace with Vision 2030 and its projects.

The ministry has established requirements for secondary school students' graduation that include success in every subject of their three-year study plan, 40 hours of community service, and submitting and passing a graduation project, the sources added.
