King Faisal Prize 2024 Laureates to be Announced on This Date

Prince Turki Al Faisal will announce the names of the laureates for the King Faisal Prize 2024 in all categories on Wednesday, Jan. 10.

The Categories for the King Faisal Prize

The prize will be given for the following categories:

• Islamic studies
• Arabic language and literature
• Medicine and science

The nominations are made by scientific institutions, universities, research centers, scientific councils,  and language councils.

The Requirements for the King Faisal Prize Nomination

The nominee's work must already be published to be considered for the prize. 

The nominated work will also be considered for the prize if it contributes to the advancement of the field of knowledge for the development of humanity. 

Nominations are not accepted from individuals or political parties. Only living writers' works will be considered for the prize. 

The prize selection committee includes experts, specialists and scholars from 22 countries.

The King Faisal Prize was first established by the King Faisal Foundation in 1977 and was first granted in 1979.
