Over SR64 Million Has Been Invested in Taif Rose in the Saudi Market

The Taif Rose made investments in the Saudi market worth more than SR64 million, according to the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture (MEWA).

According to MEWA, Taif roses are being harvested and gathered in Taif governorate's Sarawat mountain in a quantity of 550 million.

In honor of its hometown of Taif in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, the Rose of Taif is a precious reddish-pink Damask rose type. A total of 30 oil-rich petals make up the rose's full bloom, and it emits a strong but delicate powdered rose aroma with sweet a sense of tea and honey.  

The Taif Governorate, which stretches from the heights of the Al-Hada and Al-Shafa mountains, and Wadi Mahram (Mahram valley), all the way to Al-Talhat, Wadi Al-Amq, Wadi Al-Bani, and other areas, is home to more than 910 farms that grow Taif Rose.

Over SR64 Million Has Been Invested in Taif Rose in the Saudi Market

More than eighty products derived from roses are extracted and manufactured in over 70 factories and labs to produce various types of aromatic goods and body care products, which are well-liked and have a significant market presence.

The Taif Rose Festival's basket, which had more than 84.5 roses from around 26 species of the best roses, was the biggest rose basket ever and made it into the Guinness Book of Records.
