Saudi Arabia Plans SR183m Humanitarian Projects for Earthquake Victims

Saudi Arabia announced on Monday, February 20th, humanitarian projects worth more than SR183 million for earthquake-affected people in Turkey and Syria.

The projects include building 3,000 housing units for earthquake survivors, which will round up to SR75 million. The project will also provide sponsorships for orphans at the cost of SR40 million, healthcare services that will amount to SR17.8 million, and water and hygiene services for SR6.5 million. 

Food resources will also be provided and the amount for that will be SR6.5 million, while emergency medical responses for survivors in Syria will be funded with SR19.8 million. 

These projects were shared at the third edition of the Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, in the presence of the Emir of Riyadh Prince Faisal Bin Bandar.
