It urged Saudi nationals and expatriates to ignore fake social media posts offering to perform the Hajj on someone else's behalf, obtain and distribute adahi (sacrificial animal) coupons for pilgrims, sell bracelets honoring the pilgrimage, arrange for transportation, and engage in other deceptive practices intended to defraud by fraudsters and sham businesses.

The Public Security declared a warning that it will impose severe penalties on anyone participating in such fraudulent Hajj-related practices.

It was made clear that the Saudi Project for Utilization of Sacrificial Animals, which can be purchased or the service of which can be tracked at adahi.org, is the official organization charged with carrying out animal sacrifice on behalf of pilgrims.

The unified number 920020193 is available for pilgrims to call with any questions or to track requests in this regard. Citizens and locals were urged by the Public Security to follow Hajj rules and instructions and to report any infractions by dialing 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 in the rest of the country.
