Ashi Studio Becomes First GCC Label to Join French Couture Federation

Saudi designer Mohammed Ashi who is the mastermind behind the fashion label Ashi Studio has become the first designer from the GCC to be invited to join the prestigious French Federation de la Haute Couture.

Ashi has been invited as a guest member and he will present his first haute couture collection at the Paris Fashion Week on July 6th. 

In a statement on Instagram, the designer said "This appointment is the highlight of my career. I will honor it in the memory of the great couturiers who came before me and whom I now join in the pursuit of this grand tradition of excellence in creativity and savoir-faire."

The designer launched his studio in Beirut in 2007 and opened a boutique in Paris in 2018. 

He has been a mentor for Saudi Arabia's Fashion Committee, which was founded in 2020. 

Ashi has dressed royalty and celebrities Queen Rania of Jordan, Deepika Padukone, Beyonce, Penelope Cruz, and others. Most recently, he designed a dress for Princess Iman of Jordan to wear at Crown Prince Hussein's wedding
