Most Interacting Saudi Cities with Fake Sites

The results of a social experiment conducted within a national anti-fraud campaign to test the audience and study their behavior in responding to tempting offers and how they preserve their personal information from June 29 to July 16, 2022, showed that the audience in Jeddah was the most interactive with 44.2%, followed by Riyadh with 36.6 %, then Dammam with 9.2%, then the cities of Madinah and Makkah Al Mukarramah. Awards and competitions also topped the list with the highest percentage of audience interaction with visits exceeding 71 thousand visits.

This social experiment launched by the Media and Banking Awareness Committee in Saudi banks and the Saudi Federation for Cyber Security and Programming came as part of a fraud awareness campaign, and it targets many digital and traditional channels to raise awareness of fraud risks.

This experience coincides with the efforts and initiatives of many government and private agencies to urge customers to preserve personal and banking information in order to avoid falling prey to fraud.
