Saudi Announces Completion of Record-Breaking Six Flags Qiddiya

Big news for thrill-seekers: Six Flags Qiddiya City is officially complete, and it’s opening its doors before the year ends.

The announcement was made during a government press conference, confirming that Saudi Arabia’s highly anticipated theme park is ready to welcome visitors as part of the massive Qiddiya City development near Riyadh.

Opening Before the Year Ends

Qiddiya Investment Company confirmed that Six Flags Qiddiya City will open on December 31, marking the project’s first major entertainment launch.

This opening kicks off a phased rollout of attractions across Qiddiya, which is being positioned as one of the world’s top entertainment destinations.

Home to the World’s Wildest Roller Coaster

Six Flags Qiddiya isn’t just another theme park — it’s built to break records.

The headline attraction is the Falcon Roller Coaster, which has already made history as the longest, fastest, and tallest roller coaster in the world. In total, the park features five major rides designed for record-breaking thrills, alongside tech-driven attractions debuting in the region for the first time.

Just the Beginning for Qiddiya City

The Six Flags opening is only phase one. Around 70 attractions and venues are planned across Qiddiya City and will be launched gradually.

Construction is already underway on major projects including Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, a Performing Arts Center, a speed track, Mercedes-Benz Performance World, golf facilities, and a gaming and esports zone.

A Project Getting Global Attention

Officials say interest in Qiddiya has exploded worldwide, with the project gaining billions of views and mentions globally this year alone — a sign that it’s quickly becoming one of Saudi Arabia’s most talked-about destinations.

Built against the dramatic backdrop of the Tuwaiq Mountains, Qiddiya City is part of the Kingdom’s push to reshape entertainment, tourism, and lifestyle experiences under Vision 2030.

And with Six Flags officially ready, the countdown is officially on.
