After a successful story in opening his first restaurant Fatour Faris “Faris Breakfast”, with an unpresidential ambition he, with his brothers, pursued to open a restaurant that is specialized in Pasta.

Faris AlTurki, the Saudi businessman and entrepreneur, takes on his shoulder to bring Riyadh food industry to the next level with this high-quality restaurant.

The story behind the name; Bal’harm

The name is always a hint to what to expect from any brand. What we can read from this pasta place labelled Bal’harm is that it was named after an Italian city called Palermo.

According to Wikipedia; Palermo (Balarm in Arabic) is a city in southern Italy, the capital of both the autonomous region of Sicily and the Metropolitan City of Palermo. Aging 2700 years old, this city is known for its history, culture architecture and gastronomy.

Plato once described its people as “Sicilians build things like they will live forever and eat like they will die tomorrow.” Maybe this is the image we are supposed to live when we are dining at this Italian Restaurant, Bal’harm. The minute you step foot into the door, you can hear that marvelous Italian songs bringing life to those marble tables and that sun light kissing those green plants covering every corner of that place. People are vibrant and friendly, as if they are dancing to the rhythm of that aromatic beauty in the air.

People who visited the restaurant say that the service was quick and good. In the middle of the restaurant, you can see the chefs in a live cooking station that enriches your senses and dazzle your eyes. From authenticity to intimacy, this place is a cozy and quite place for a lunch or dinner meal.  


The restaurant offers the finest verity of pasta that meets the taste of those adoring the Italian cuisine. Yet, the signature dish is inspired by the Saudi local culture; Ravioli Di Cammello, a fresh homemade Ravioli stuffed with marinated camel meat sourced locally and slow-cooked for more than 12 hours at low temperature overnight. People are also recommending the Truffle Linguine, fresh homemade Linguine with an exquisite and delicate mix of truffle, porcini mushroom, and parmesan cheese. One of the most phenomenal dishes there is Carpaccio, a traditional Italian appetizer consisting of raw beef sliced paper-thin, drizzled with olive oil. It’s basically an experience that will flirt with your taste buds, and butter them up to have the best time ever.
