Saudi Arabia welcomes the launch of Uber Teens, a specialized feature catering to the transportation needs of adolescents aged 13-17.

This innovative addition to the Uber platform aims to offer peace of mind to families by incorporating robust safety measures and parental controls into the ride-sharing experience.

The Uber Teens Accounts are part of Uber's commitment to ensuring safe and reliable transportation for families across the region. Available in the UAE, KSA, Qatar, and Jordan, this feature allows parents or guardians to create specialized Uber accounts for their teens, enabling them to request rides independently while under parental supervision.

To initiate the process, parents or guardians can utilize their Family Profile on the Uber app to invite their teen to register for an account. Upon receiving the invitation, teens can download the app, complete the safety onboarding procedure, and start requesting rides with ease.

Key safety features of Uber Teens include real-time trip tracking, PIN verification, and RideCheck functionality. Parents can monitor their teen's ride in real-time, receive driver details, and ensure safe arrival at the intended destination. PIN verification adds an extra layer of security, ensuring that teens board the correct vehicle with the designated driver.

In the event of any deviations from the planned route or unexpected stops, RideCheck automatically alerts both the teen and the driver to ensure their safety. Additionally, Uber's audio recording feature allows teens to record audio during the trip, providing an additional layer of security.

Uber ensures that only highly-rated and experienced drivers, who have passed rigorous screening and background checks, are eligible to receive trip requests from teen account holders. Drivers also have the option to opt-out of receiving teen trips if they choose.
