Saudi officials have seized 1,242,740 amphetamine pills from seven people who were then arrested in Madinah.

The officials from the General Directorate of Narcotics Control conducted two operations targeting drug smuggling, which resulted in the seizure of the drugs and the arrest of the seven culprits.

The pills were hidden in a beehive consignment and a vehicle in Madinah. The smuggling was carried out by four Egyptian residents and three Saudi citizens.

These culprits have been arrested and referred to the Public Prosecution and preliminary legal measures were carried out against them.

The Directorate has requested people in the Kingdom to report any suspected case of drug smuggling at 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province and at 999 in the rest of the country.
