Authorities in Saudi Arabia have detained an Afghanistani man in the central Qassim region for illegally smuggling hashish.

The man has been arrested and handed over to the public prosecutor of the nation for further legal action. The General Directorate for Narcotics Control of the Kingdom made the arrest.

This follows after a significant discovery of amphetamine pills on Tuesday. More than 12 million illegal tablets were seized after being discovered concealed in a cargo of pomegranates passing through Jeddah Islamic Port.
