A Saudi national who promoted amphetamine pills with the purpose of selling them a second time has been given a 25-year prison sentence by the Criminal Court in Abha.

After being found guilty of selling 25 psychotropic amphetamine pills that were illegal as well as possessing the same amount of pills with the intent of selling them, the court decided to place the individual in prison. The accused concealed the origin of the drugs that were seized as well.

The person was sentenced by the court to 25 years in prison as well as a 25-year ban on leaving Saudi Arabia after serving his sentence.

In addition to other punishments, the accused was also ordered to pay a fine of SR150,000, which was confiscated from him and put in the state's public treasury. Additionally, the court seized his cell phone and the vehicle that was used for trafficking and promotion.
