First Female Saudi Aircraft Engineers to Get Trained at Riyadh Air

The new national airline of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh Air announced that it has partnered with Colleges of Excellence, a pioneer in providing both men and women with technical and vocational training in aviation maintenance engineering.

According to officials, the partnership demonstrates the efforts made by the two institutions to increase women's participation in the aviation industry.

As part of Saudi Vision 2030, it will offer mentorship and on-the-job training for women, supporting in their empowerment.

Ayman Al Abdullah and Tony Douglas, the CEOs of Colleges of Excellence and Riyadh Air, respectively, signed the deal.

The program will teach trainees about advanced technologies and aircraft maintenance. Up to 700 pilots will be hired by Riyadh Air during the next three years. Riyadh Air was founded in March and intends to begin flying in 2025.
