Saudi-Boeing Agreement to Create 200K Job Opportunities in KSA

According to Princess Reema bint Bandar, Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the US, the latest agreement with Boeing will create about 100,000 direct and indirect employment in the US across a number of states and around 200K jobs in Saudi Arabia.

To help launch the Kingdom's new airline, Saudi Arabia recently signed a $37 billion agreement with US firm Boeing. As part of the deal, Boeing will manufacture up to 121 aircraft.

Saudi Ambassador to the US Princess Reema bint Bandar said, “In just a few years, your planes will be carrying millions of tourists to the Kingdom, many for the very first time, creating special bonds that will bring our nations, our cultures, closer together.”

"The deal will propel Saudi Arabia into a global logistics hub and generate 200,000 direct and indirect Saudi jobs and countless opportunities in trade and tourism. This historic investment will create around 100,000 direct and indirect jobs in the US across several states, including hundreds of suppliers and many small businesses,” she further added.

General Electric engines-equipped Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft will be supplied to Saudi Arabia as part of the agreement, with 72 of them going to the country's recently launched airline Riyadh Air.

“This milestone symbolizes the bright future of our cooperation and represents a new era of engagement. As Saudi Arabia strives to implement Vision 2030, we reaffirm our 80-year bond with the US and consider American companies to be vital in this journey,” she concluded.
