Sheikh Youssef bin Muhammad Will Deliver Arafat Sermon

Sheikh Youssef bin Muhammad bin Saeed, a distinguished Saudi Islamic scholar and member of the Council of Senior Scholars, will deliver the Arafat sermon for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage.

Sheikh Maher bin Hamad Al-Muaiqly, imam and preacher of the Grand Mosque, will be the reserve imam. The highest Saudi authorities have issued orders in this regard.

At the Grand Mosque in Makkah, the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, and numerous other mosques, Sheikh Bin Saeed has taught.

For more than 20 years, he also served as a preacher in a number of mosques and Eid prayer locations. He took part in initiatives run by several universities and ministries.

Sheikh Bin Saeed held a number of positions, including member of the Council of Senior Scholars. 

He previously served as the deputy minister of Islamic Affairs for four years. Along with other academic posts, he held professor, associate professor, assistant professor, lecturer, and teaching assistantships at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University.

Sheikh Bin Saeed has also held a number of additional positions at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, including vice chairman of the Hajj Committee, chairman of the Holy Qur'an Competitions Committee, and chairman of the Qur'an Translation Committee at the King Fahd Qur'an Printing Complex.

Sheikh Bin Saeed memorized the Holy Qur’an at an early age.

Reputable academics including Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Sheikh and former Saudi Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Baz served as some of his mentors. Sheikh Bin Saeed earned a bachelor's degree, a master's degree, and a doctorate from the College of Fundamentals of Religion in Riyadh. Additionally, he has written more than 30 books.
