The Islamic Arts Biennale in KSA Extends Until May

The first edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale in Saudi Arabia has been extended until May 23rd.

The Biennale is held at the Hajj Terminal of the King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah and its extension will allow visitors to see around 280 Islamic cultural artefacts and more than 50 new commissions and artworks by new and seasoned regional artists.

The positive reception of the biennale resulted in its extension and the Chief Executive of the organisers of the Diriyah Biennale Foundation Aya Al-Bakree encourages locals, residents, and tourists who have not yet visited the biennale to pay a visit to the art exhibition.

If there are repeat visitors, then the foundation has organized public programming during the extension period, which will allow them to learn new things about Islamic art.

The Biennale foregrounds artworks that feature various aspects of the Islamic faith and the role of the sacred cities of Makkah and Madinah in Islam.
