Thunderstorms Are Expected in Most Saudi Regions Until June 9th

Thunderstorms are expected in most parts of Saudi Arabia from Monday, June 5th, to Friday, June 9th, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Medium to heavy thunderstorms with hail are likely from Monday to Friday in Asir, Al-Baha, Jazan, and Makkah, and from Monday to Tuesday in Madinah and Hail.

Active downward winds with speeds of more than 50 kilometer per hour will hit all of these areas, raising dust and causing torrential rains.

The regions of Al-Qasim, Najran, Riyadh, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, the Northern Borders, Al-Sharqiyah, and parts of Makkah will witness light to medium thunderstorms from Monday to Tuesday with active downward winds, with a speed of more than 50 kilometer per hour, which may raise dust.

During thunderstorms, people should stay in secure places and avoid approaching swamps, valleys, and areas where torrents congregate.
